OMG: This year's Christmas came so early for Travelers. Our Hearts Shall Forever Remain in Lira.

Yes, we were hosted in Lira by very loving and caring friends of the Great Reckless Travelers at Rtd Brigadier Gen. Waccha's home in Boroboro Village and at Engineer Orwech's home. This was in honor of the new Reckless Travelers Tradition of making turns in visiting our ancestral homes as one way of promoting Domestic tourism and travel as well as cultural Integration. Indeed, life hits differently when you got good and happy friends on your side.. Ladies and gentlemen I hope I'm communicating. Are you a traveler? Do you love traveling? Come and taste the true feeling of togetherness. All you have to do is become a good friend to the Mighty Reckless Travelers.

And its Number 2 for me.! 17th December to 19th December 2021 was the Lira weekend plot. In great excitement, we all set off at any time of our convenience for our destination In Lira. The unstoppable trio (Nina, Faith and me, Goodgirl the Reckless Traveler ) were big time part of the team. We hit the road by 1:00pm East African Time and had stopovers at Kafu where we met a military personnel serving in the UPDF Afande Okech who asked us for a lift up to Lira town. We were so obliged to grant him one. And these were his remarks, " I have never met such happy, good and vibrant people in my lifetime. Thank you so much for having very good hearts."

We arrived in lira at 8:00pm East African Time and checked into Tasha hotel for freshening up and later we officially started Decembering in style. We were warmly welcomed by rich people at heart with a theme of "Feel At Home" Then immediately we whisked gined and vodked away to Lira paradise in Simbulation mode #Tusimbudde.!

I highly recommend Hotel to travelers heading to Lira City. We spent Saturday at Rtd Brigadier Gen Waccha's ancestral home and indeed Christmas came early for us because it was feast day with too much on the table to eat and drink while we parried away with Mr and Mrs Waccha as they celebrated their 20th anniversary in marriage. #CoupleGoals. ..............Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Waccha, we love you.! We also celebrated our friend Mr.Thomas Obel's womb escape day in advance which happens every 1st of December. ................Happy birthday to our dear concept master and co host. We love you our brother from another mama.! ( I didn't take any photos because I was having too much fun. My apologies please.)

We later headed to vintage club for after parreee. Big up to our own house DJ, 'Ugly DJ' who saved the wee hours of the night by scratching that deck. Much later in the morning we had brunch at Engineer Orwech's home, thats our co host Mr. Thomas Obel"s parent's home before we hit the road for Kampala via Soroti.

It is a growing and prosperous district with city status located in the Northern Region of Uganda and has a population of 99, 059 (2014).

It is approximately 270kms from Kampala city.
